Section VII
The Historical Events of Fatehabad — the Texts behind Them
This section takes the family list “Historical Events of Fatehabad” point by point and sets against each event the historical texts — chronicle, gazetteer or modern account — in which it is recorded, distinguishing the written record from the tradition of the town. Fatehabad here is the old town on the Beas in Tarn Taran district, Khadur Sahib tahsil, beside the Goindwal ferry, on the imperial Delhi–Lahore road.
