Section VI
Facsimile — the Griffin Table, 1870
The genealogical table of the Kapurthala family as printed at page 454 of Sir Lepel Griffin’s The Rajas of the Punjab (1870). It is the earliest published source for this pedigree and the root document of the present study. Near the foot of the left-hand branch stands the entry “Daughter m. Rattan Singh Behra” — the marriage of about 1812 from which the Behra line descends.
A number of the printed dates are approximate: Badar Singh’s 1722 appears there as 1723, and Fateh Singh’s 1837 as 1835. The corrections are discussed in the Findings.
The facsimile is absent from both source PDFs — the bilingual file says so outright. A clean scan of page 454 is needed, and the volume is public domain: copies are held by the Panjab Digital Library and Archive.org.
