Rais Sardar Charanjit Singh

Third son of Rais Sardar Dyal Singh, and the thirteenth generation of the house. Named in the family record as president of the B.K.U. Punjab and vice-president of the B.K.U. (India), and a strong advocate of farmers’ rights; The Tribune of 13 July 2006 independently records him as Senior Vice-President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, confirming the family record. He lived in General Rattan Singh’s haveli at Fatehabad, and it was from him and the other elders of the town that the newspaper took down its traditions. He married Rani Harpal Kaur.
