Note
The family document names Harnam Singh a kinsman “through the common descent from the house of Ladha Singh” without stating his father, and this placement was previously carried here as an inference. Griffin’s table of 1870 settles it: it prints “Kharak Singh, b. 1849” and “Harnam Singh, b. 1851” together as sons of Raja Randhir Singh.
