Eldest son of Rais Sardar Dyal Singh, born at Fatehabad. He served in the Second World War and was wounded in combat. In later life he lived at 114 Green Avenue, Amritsar — where he was remembered as Commander Paramjeet Singh Bhar, an anglicised form of the family name — and died there in 1975. He married Rani Sheila Kaur.
Family tradition holds that Bhagat Puran Singh (1904–1992), the founder of the Pingalwara at Amritsar, mentions him in his autobiographical writings. The passage has not yet been located; the Pingalwara volumes are the place to look.
