Second wife of Rais Sardar Basant Singh, of a Waziri Pathan family of Kasur that had converted to Sikhism. Mother of Rais Sardar Dyal Singh, and so the ancestress of every living member of the line. She appears again in the family group photograph taken a generation later, seated among her son’s children.
